Our Program
Education Squared is staffed with highly competent instructors that bring a level of expertise that meets both the
demands and expectations of the community and school administration of Lucerne Valley High School District. Education
Squared has been up and running for 3 years and has made headlines in the local Daily Press newspaper. In 3
years, this program has made a difference in the drop out rate at Lucerne Valley High School and Lucerne Valley Career Academy.
It has provided the local community with optimistic possibilities for the future and was honored by the First District Rep
Brad Mitchfeld on October 30, 2007 with the High Achievement Award. It was 1 of 3 in the High Desert region and 1 of
20 in Southern California.
Education Squared will continue to hold high expectations, provide excellent customer service to all students, staff
and community, and strive to make a difference in the local community.

Our Philosophy and Mission
Today's youth presents a unique challenge to our schools. Their demographics have changed. Recognizing their
needs, parents of this generation are demanding more from schools and our civic and community leaders are responding with
solutions and alternatives. Education Squared is an alternative program leading to a promising tomorrow for our students.
Education Squared was designed by teachers from this community with solutions in mind.
Education Squared believes in honesty, consistency and honoring our commitments with integrity. We believe that
our innovation and success come from vision, collaboration and teamwork. We have a commitment to high quality and excellence
in our professional relationships and the services we provide to our community. We ensure our continued success by maximizing
our intellectual, emotional and physical resources.
Our mission is to provide an afterschool program conveniently placed on school grounds and easily accessible for
students, staff and parents. Education Squared believes that life long learning is considered essential to be a
successful individual.
